Well-known universities sin this state are University of Washington (UW) in Seattle and Washington State University (WSU) in Pullman.
As for Washington D.C., there you can choose among six federal higher educational establishments and twenty-two private higher educational establishments. The most notable among all these educational establishments can be considered the George Washington University (GW) and Georgetown University (GU).
